For over 50 years the Hub has been part our community in the West of Gateshead particularly Ryton, Crawcrook, Clara Vale, Greenside and is looking forward to continuing that work.
The Hub offers a wide program of activities including art and craft classes; exercise and dance classes; a youth club; friendship group; music and history clubs; Age UK and much more.
Our aim is to maintain and develop the centre for the local community ensuring a well maintained and safe building for people to meet, take part in a wide range of activities from all ages that will benefit them both physically and mentally.
Our running costs are approx. £25,000 per year. We are responsible for these costs as a Charity and this money is raised though room hire fees, our regular fundraising events and grant funding from various sources.

I very much enjoy my weekly visits to the cafe. It’s nice to be able to get out and meet people in a friendly environment, enjoy a bacon sandwich and piece of cake.
